We provide two locations : Fairlight house and our Wales cottage.
Fairlight House
Fairlight House is a comfortable, detached home within a pleasant neighbour hood and within a few hundred yards of the seashore. The house is comfortably furnished, well kept and provides spacious individual bedrooms for each young person.There is a large back garden providing space for wide games and barbecues in the summer.
Wilderness Programme
Our wilderness programme is based within the wilderness of the Snowdonia National Park. Remoteness, isolation and tranquillity provide sanctuary unencumbered by the demands of everyday urban life.
The programme’s emphasis is on healthy living and routine.The natural rhythm of the day creates the reliability and continuity that has so often been absent in the young person’s experience. There is encouragement and facilitation, to participate in the basic requirements of everyday life; keeping warm [collecting wood for fires], feeding and exploring relationships and how they work. There are also more challenging, yet rewarding opportunities to engage in activities such as white water rafting and climbing. Not least is the spiritual dynamic. All of the young people and adults who have spent time there have been awestruck by the power of the environment and their position in relation to it. This has an impact on self-awareness and for most, it has been a unique and transformative experience.
