About Us

All our staff are carefully selected and vetted for their ability to engage thoughtfully and creatively with the young people in our care. Staff are supported through regular supervision and training.

The Directors of Fairport Care Services bring, between them, 75 years experience of working with troubled children and young people in a wide range of social care settings including therapeutic communities. They are all actively involved in the care and treatment of the young people placed with Fairport Care Services.

Phil Adams: CQSW; Diploma in Applied Social Policy; Family and Couples Therapist; P.R.I.C.E instructor
Phil is committed to creative and innovative child care practice where the safety and well being of vulnerable young people is paramount.

John Cook: M.Ed; Diploma in Youth and Community Studies.
John is committed to providing a high quality service of therapeutic care leading to positive outcomes. John has completed training with the Tavistock and Portman Clinic and has acted as a trainer and consultant to a wide range of child care oraganisations.

Nicky Farrant D Wilson: Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Child Care –Reading; Post Graduate Diploma in Child Protection and Family Support – Univ. East London and Tavistock and Portman.
Nicky has extensive experience in child centred social work. Nicky promotes a system that puts vulnerable children and adults first, treats people in a non –oppressive and non discriminatory way and encourages a culture of healthy enquiry and consultation.
